Weakness #2 is very important if you are what's called a "bass-head". These headphones won't give you slamming rich bass. Bass is (slightly) on the weak side.
Weakness #3 is critical if you listen to a lot of female vocals, and you find it particularly annoying when your playback systet an ultra high end home stereo shop in Tampa, Florida and they sounded damn good. So when I saw these for less than $20, I decided to buy them..
First of all, they arrived sooner than usual. I put them on and I noticed something...I could not hear any outside noise. These "cans" really kept outside sound out. They sat comfortably on my head and the "cups" covered my ears. Score!! Now, for the sound..
I listen to a lot of music that I have on my pc. I have a Dell Dimension E310 with the ORIGINAL sound card and I have the Mp3s on Musicmatch WITHOUT any equalization. First of all, I chose tracks at random, all kinds and I heard things that I never heard before. I noticed tiny "cracks" on Avenged Sevenfold's "Seciond Heartbeat." Something I did not notice with the Sony's. I listened to all types of music and found the sound TOTALLY clean. No hissing, no muddy or "sour" midrange. Female vocals sounded grMonster Beats by dre at. Even the low end sounded great, specially with house and trance music that have a lot of ure high-quality audio components; pressure-relieving, urethane-cushioned earpads for greater comfort and a noise-cancelling, supra-aural design. Boasting 30mm drivers, high-energy neodymium magnets and multi-layer dome diaphragms, these headphones pack serious sonic power, while a metallic finish adds a little excitement to your listening experience. And with swivel earcups for collapsible convenience while on the go, these headphones make a great companion to your iPod or portable MP3 player.Specifications:Cord Length (Approx.) : 47 http://www.specialbeatsbydre.us1/4 in (1.2 m)Weight (Approx.) : 120 g (4.23 oz)Design : Over-the-head, MonitorDiaphragm : PETHeadband : Wide, AdjustableMagnet: NeodymiumPlug : Gold-plated, L-shaped stereomini plugType of Use : Portable, Home, StudioCord : 47 1/4 in. really good as well for the price. I read in many reviews that if you upgrade to the SONY MDR-ZX300 for about $10 more the overall sound and base is much better! I am happy to say that it is very true, the volume level and total sound spectrum is MUCH better. The highs are crisp and the base is in fact richer (deeper) and not at all muddy. You will also notice that the mids are very well balanced and is actually very surprising in this price range! I decided to go with the red version of the SONY MDR-ZX300 headphones because they just look really GOOD!!!! In my opinion this may be the best headphones value on the market bar none! If you need really good headpho
The sound was banging, great frequency distribution (the sound range is awesome) and they are really loud. They look awesome, and definitely feel sturdy enough for long term use. AdjustDre beats headphone bility and comfort was also really good, they can fit any size head.
The bad:
Unfortunately for me, there was way more bass coming out of the right side thBeats by dre Headphonesn the left. I'm pretty sure I just got a bad pair. so, I sent them in to Sony all the way to Laredo, TX. I hope they get there and get replaced. I'm out 5 bucks for the shipping. Kinda seems pointless to do for only a 25 dollar pair of headphones. Hopefully others aren't experiencing this.admit that I'm not one to be ridiculously picky about speakers/headphones, but it has been

4) For a closed headphone, doesn't isolate that much.
